Magnificent ceremonial palace built in 1755
King Charles III was the first Spanish king to take residence here nearly 300 years ago. Today it is one of Spain's biggest tourist attractions with its elegant grounds and impressive armory museum. Generally open to the public except when in ceremonial use.
