Madrid Orgullo

Madrid Pride, known officially as Madrid Orgullo (or MADO), is one of Europe's largest and most fabulous Pride celebrations, attracting over a million people to the city. Lasting around ten days, MADO begins the weekend immediately following International Day of LGBT+ Pride on June 28.

Events usually take place around the neighborhood of Chueca, with Chueca's Pride launching the festivities. The first Wednesday following the beginning of MADO is the kick-off to the Pride parties with an official proclamation announced at Chueca Square. For five days, Madrid is filled with parties and music, with the Parade finally happening on the following Saturday. The closing party the day after the Parade officially ends Madrid Pride. MADO is an iconic Pride, that attracts visitors from all over the globe.
